- "Fabricated Metal Products" (NAICS 332)
- "Machinery Manufacturing" (NAICS 333)
- "Furniture and Related Products" (NAICS 337)
- "Food Manufacturing" (NAICS 311)
- "Miscellaneous Manufacturing" (NAICS 339)
- Collectively, these 5 sub-sectors account for over 70% (11,200) of the new manufacturing jobs created in Calgary's Manufacturing sector.
- Although Calgary's manufacturing sector remains highly concentrated in oil and gas, gradual diversification into other fields has created manufacturing industry successes in plastics, metal fabrication, machinery, packaging and building materials.
