Calgary's six sister cities offer an excellent opportunity to connect Calgary businesses to businesses around the world. Calgary's sister cities are:
- Daejeon, South Korea
- Daqing, China
- Jaipur, India
- Naucalpan, Mexico
- Quebec City, Canada
- Phoenix, USA
As a key component of Calgary Economic Development's International Trade Development Program, the mission of Calgary Sister Cities is to strengthen and create partnerships between the city of Calgary and other national and international communities in order to facilitate economic development, foster educational linkages, increase global cooperation and awareness and promote cultural understanding.
Daejeon, South KoreaDaejeon, also known as the "Great Field," was aptly named for its unique geography. This picturesque city has earned its ranking as one of the largest cities in South Korea. As the "Science City" of Korea, Daejeon and Calgary were twinned in order to expand upon their mutual interests in science, technology, research and development.

Daqing, China This city was twinned with Calgary for its affiliation with the oil and gas industry. Various special associations have developed between Calgary and Daqing since the twinning, including the naming of Daqing Avenue in Calgary's Chinatown. The province of Heilongjiang and the province of Alberta signed a twinning agreement in 1981.

Jaipur, India Jaipur was founded in 1727 by the astronomer King Sawal Jai Singh. Jaipur is a beautiful city located in northwestern India. It is known as the "Pink City" because of the distinctive colour of the buildings there. Since its twinning with Calgary in 1973, Jaipur has gone through tremendous economic reforms and deregulation.

Quebec City, Canada Quebec City is Calgary's longest standing twinning arrangement. What continues to drive this unique connection are the diverse and dynamic people that occupy each city, and a cultural dichotomy that exists between the two cities. Unique cultural experiences such as the Quebec Winter Carnivale and the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede are international events that set each city apart from the world, yet they are also what bring the two cities together each year.
