| In the new global environment, cities with strong globally connected business communities have emerged as the building blocks of the new economy. The Business Attraction program brings businesses, investment and new residents to Calgary and works to connect Calgary to the rest of the world. Calgary Economic Development has established the Business Connections Unit to operate as a single point of contact for international businesses or people thinking of moving or investing in Calgary.
