TELUS Convention Centre - Request for Qualifications

The Calgary Convention Centre Authority is examining various options for managing the TELUS Convention Centre located in Calgary, Alberta. One of these options is to contract with an experienced, independent contractor to assume responsibility for the day-to-day operations and marketing of the Centre. This would include the cost-effective management of both the original and newly expanded facilities, as well as the aggressive marketing of the facilities to increase net sales revenues from conven-tions, trade shows, meetings and special events. Examination of the independent contractor option will be conducted in two stages: Stage 1
Letters of Interest: The first stage is to request Letters of Interest from qualified, experienced and successful corporate operators of convention centres or similar meeting facilities. Letters should provide details with respect to qualifications and experience.
    Stage 2
Request for Qualifications: After reviewing Stage 1 responses, qualified applicants may be provided with additional confidential information and invited to promptly submit a detailed competitive proposal, including proposed contractual terms for the operation and management of the TELUS Convention Centre.
Letters of interest should be submitted to:

    Convention Centre Review Committee
