2007 Alberta Wage and Salary Survey taking place now

Alberta's biennial survey provides wage, salary and skill shortage information by occupation, industry and geographical area. The most recent 2005 results are available at:
www.alis.gov.ab.ca/wageinfo.

Industries and employers can use the survey results to identify positions that might require additional retention and recruitment strategies and to determine competitive pay rates. Albertans can also use this information to make career and education plans. In addition, organizations can estimate the cost of doing business in Alberta and develop effective public policy on wages and skill shortages.

The survey is conducted with employers with 10 or more employees and will occur from January to April 2007. Employer participation is key to quality survey results. For more information on this survey, please contact San King, Labour Market Economist at AHRE, at (780) 415-8566 or .
