Virtual Survey to Define Values
CALGARY, March 23, 2000 - As part of an ongoing process
to solicit citizen feedback for the creation of Calgary's community development
strategy, today Promoting Calgary Inc. added a Calgary Values Survey to
their www.calgary-promote.com Website.
"This method of citizen input worked extremely well
during our recent community branding exercise," stated Georgine Ulmer,
President & CEO, "so we wanted to create another unique opportunity for
Calgarians to provide us with their virtual input."
Last October, through a virtual survey on Promoting
Calgary Inc.'s Website, Calgarians were asked to provide 5 key words that
best describe their Calgary. The response to the survey was tremendous.
Survey results identified the following Calgary values: business, progressive,
fun, western, community, integrity, safe and clean. These core values
now provide the foundation for Promoting Calgary Inc.'s community development
strategy.
The new virtual survey asks Calgarians to help define
these eight Calgary values. Survey responses will then be compiled and
presented to the Promoting Calgary Inc. Board as part of their strategic
planning process to position Calgary for the future.
