Calgary Exhibition & Stampede
For ten incredible days each summer, Calgary hosts The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth - the Calgary Stampede! Since the first Stampede in 1912, Calgarians have celebrated their western heritage and shared their brand of hospitality with visitors from around the world. From the rough and tumble Half-Million-Dollar Rodeo, to the dash for the finish at the Chuckwagon Races, this world-famous show is enjoyed by thousands of local and international visitors each year. website
Calgary International Children's Festival
This popular, internationally recognized spring festival is designed
especially for the little folks, and features a variety of performances
and activities, including dance, puppetry and song, just for kids.

Calgary International Jazz Festival
This festival takes place in June of each year utilizing venues from
intimate jazz caverns to the Arts Centre.
Calgary Folk Music Festival
In 1999, the Calgary Folk Music Festival celebrated its 20th year
in our community. For four fabulous days in July, Calgarians experience
Celtic sounds, world music, blues, bluegrass, acoustic and electric
folk, roots music, alternative, country and other musical styles.

Calgary Winter Festival
Hosted each February, the Calgary Winter Festival features eleven
days of winter activities and sports to be enjoyed by the whole family.

Carifest
Carifest is an annual Caribbean Festival that takes place in June
of each year. This festival brings together music, dancing and food
from this vibrant part of our community. website
ArtWalk/ArtWeek
These two September events involve waling tours through most local art galleries, artists' studios and site specific installations at various locations. ArtWeek involves art and architecture seminars and debates featuring prominent art historians, artists and critics.
Esther Honen's Calgary International Piano Competition & Festival/Calgary International Organ Festival
Hosted in Calgary every four years, these prestigious events feature
of the world's most gifted pianists and organists. Recitals, chamber
performances, and concerts are part of each festival event. website
Decidedly Jazz Danceworks (DJD)
This group is the only full time professional Canadian jazz Dance
Company dedicated to preserving the roots of jazz dance through public
